THRALL: The RamBat
 
Half ram, half bat. It's hungry. You hear it circling before the riff lands, hooves on dirt, wings in the static. Then you hit a chord and it's on you.
 
Thrall is a fuzz/distortion hybrid built for the heavy end. It's got the weight and bloom of a fuzz, but enough clipping bite that chords hold together instead of smearing into mud. The low end survives, on bass or tuned down past reason.
 
Keep the gain low and it growls, gritty and mean. Crank it and you get a wall of saturation with sustain that hangs around long after your pick does. Doom, sludge, stoner, hardcore: if the riff matters more than the solo, Thrall lives there.
 
Controls
Loud: output volume. There's plenty on tap, so slam the front of your amp or just match levels.
Fuzz: sets the gain. Low for a broken-up growl, high for full saturation.
Tone: sweeps from dark and smothered to cutting. Find where you sit in the mix and leave it there.
